President Mohammadu Buhari, the leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has invited Ize-Iyamu for a meeting in Aso Rock, Abuja ahead of the governorship campaign rally flag-off in Edo scheduled for the 8th of August, 2020.
It is gathered that the meeting is to strategize on how the Party will conduct and win the forthcoming Governorship Election.
The campaign which will hold on Saturday is expected to have in attendance the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan. He is expected to lead the members of the National Assembly to the event. Others expected at the event are all APC elected governors as well as other top leaders of the Party.
Due to the COVID-19 protocol, the President will not be in attendance but will be represented by a top government official.
According to reports, Ize-Iyamu had met with the members of the Nation Campaign Council for the Edo State Governorship Election. The meeting had the Senate President, Dr. Ken Nnamani, Mr Babajide Sanwo- Olu of Lagos in attendance.
Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano State, Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio among others.
